First things first, this is not a tutorial on how to backup Tecno Camon. There is a tutorial on how to backup MTK devices here. Consider this a nudge in the right direction on how to achieve your goal.
So, what’s the problem. The problem is that the latest version of SP Flash Tool fails at flashing/backing up the aforementioned device. Now, me being the curious cat I am, I tried all kinds of flash tools and finally got lucky with a specific SP Flash Tool version.
Drum rolls please…
SP Flash Tool version 5.1824.00.
That particular version will do the trick. And since it is always a good idea to backup your device before you start messing with it, you’ll be glad to know that the mentioned version will get you sorted.
